About the event
Oh, you were wrong, fall migration has not ended. There are still some birds yet to make their journey. This night, they arrive, resplendent even in drabber colors. Some, coming from the hudson river valley, the birds with knowledge stored, learning and unlearning like a ball of yarn rolled across a floor, a cosmic plane which cuts across time. Al Margolis (If, Bwana), Craig Chin, Tom Law.
They are joined in foraging the waxy berries by some locals, the rumbling tumbling Tracy Lisk on drums, the sustainer Irman Peck.
Of course, there are those which cut against the grey of late fall. And that is us, that is the one which are traveling from an ever present now to the ear to spinal column to the heart. BORBS. Feverish, maniacal, resplendent, newly unmoored on the lazy river, this could be paradise.

ERRANT SPACE is: a project of composer/recordist Craig Chin. Its goal is spatio-temporal dilation through sound. Performances are site-specific, spontaneous compositions influenced by both the physical characteristics of the space they are performed in and the occupants of that space.

We are rambunctious multi-instrumentalists whose sole purpose is to evoke and strengthen the aviary tendencies within us. Anything could happen.
