About the event
In honor of all the things we cannot do, and the muses of Tsabbatai Tszvei, the shakers, the desert monks, and those which sought answers in the laws of holy, we hold this event. These seekers of divinity, and now us , explore the law in the most viscereal possible ways, not through upholding knowedlge and custom, but by breaking it into a thousand little pieces.
This is a Cold Evening for Hot Swapping
the main thrust, and generative spark of this event is a duo between Sonali Singh and Aaron Pond, for the past year and a half they've explored improvised structures through their work with dancers and each other, and the beauty of single moments, But each we're anchored in their instruments, Bassoon and Horn respectively. Now, for the first time they are swapped. Bassoon becomes a monster, horn an elegant creature, the very thrust of identity as practice is challenged and even the audience isn't safe from the tidal wave of change, majesty, and promiscouity which might overcome them.
