About the event
$10-20 NOTAFLOF Flandrew Fleisenberg Percussionist and independent researcher Flandrew Fleisenberg explores the collision of avant-garde sound and physical law. Blending solo percussion, lecture, and direct audience participation, Fleisenberg investigates thermodynamic theories of entropy as a catalyst for life, the illusion of pure randomness in physical systems, and chaos theory as the unifying framework that binds them together. The performance centers on real-time acoustic experiments where dynamic nonlinear systems yield unexpected, self-organizing soundscapes. Ann Adachi & Friends Ann enjoys meditating on sound in a group setting, with special interest in the construction of harmonies among varied timbres which is most apparently
explored in sustained tones. She plays the flute and the piano. Ann studied classical piano and composition at Brevard College and Berklee College of
Music, where she explored inclusion of video medium and performance in her music compositions.
