HILADELPHIA, PA. March 25, 2026 – Following a triumphant return from a six-year hiatus, The H-O-T Series of Philadelphia announces its next installment of curated experimental performance. On Saturday, April 25, the series continues its mission as a premier incubator for "genre-defying" art, bringing together a high-caliber roster of international sound innovators and local movement artists at Fidget Space.
Hosted by long-time collaborators Loren Groenendaal and Flandrew Fleisenberg, the H-O-T Series (established in 2013) fosters a raw, unpredictable dialogue between sound and body. This April’s event bridges the gap between the global avant-garde and Philadelphia’s vibrant local scene.
Featured Visiting Artists:
Mia Zabelka (Vienna, Austria): An internationally acclaimed violinist and composer. Her "automatic playing" technique treats music as a physical, present-tense process rather than a static system.
Al Margolis (Chester, NY): Described as an "evil genius" of electronics, Margolis is known for radically altering sound sources…
