About the event
On January 9, 2024 musicians and noisemakers of all types will unite in Icebox Project Space to play Terry Riley’s seminal minimalist piece In C. We will begin at 7pm and go until we finish the piece. Musicians of all levels are welcome. We are working on alternative notation for those who do not read staff music! You are encouraged to get together in smaller groups to practice the piece in this month leading up to the gathering. We will have 2 rehearsals the week of the event! If you haven’t practiced, that’s ok! You are welcome to bring any instrument to Icebox and join into the cacophony.
