About the event
This evening exists as an exploration of forms past and future. It is a friendly challenge between the explosive yet subaltern New York City scene and the poly-idiomatic/highly collective Philadelphia Scene. Headlining the evening is a Horn Trio formed out of love and inspiration from the work of Brahms and Ligeti, then taken into new bizzare settings. Our middle act will be a duet between the meditative and harmonically driving style of Ann Adachi with the rich self-counterpoint of Electric Guitarist Keenan Ruffin. Opening will be a quartet drawn from contrasting styles.
